The United States Department of Justice (DOJ) is seeking responsible and capable sources for Quality Assurance Services (QAS) in support of DOJ's contracts for Automated Litigation Support (ALS), which are already in place, are being performed by five contractors and are administered and monitored by the Department's Office of Litigation Support.
Contracts will be secured through the County’s Youthful Offender Block Grant Program (YOBG) and/or the County’s Juvenile Justice Realignment Block Grant Program (JJRBG), dependent on the populations to be served. Both programs provide state funding for counties to deliver enhanced custody and care to youthful offenders who previously would have been committed to the state Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).

The attorney or firm awarded the contract shall be designated as the Public Defender for the City of Herriman and shall be duly appointed to represent all defendants who are appointed legal counsel by the Herriman City Justice Court for the City’s class B and C misdemeanors and infractions and de novo appeals from the Justice Court.
