The proposed tree planting contract is funded by the Forest Investment Program and involves fill planting of ~60 hectares (49,080 trees) of fire-killed plantations within the Boulder Creek fire in the Upper Lillooet area. The Boulder Creek fire is in the Upper Lillooet/ Meager Creek area, approximately 1 hour drive west of Pemberton.The planting for 2023 is a fall plant and is a combination of road (4x4 and ATV, for 35,940 trees) and helicopter access (for 13,140 trees). Helicopter access is due to the Meager Creek slide which destroyed the access to Block 13 and 14 (Opening ID 1728160 and 1728243).
