The upgrade and rebuild project mainly consists of removal of predominantly wood pole H-frame structures and hardware with 556.5 kcmil ACSR conductor and replacement with predominantly galvanized steel H-frame structures and hardware for 1192.5 kcmil Grackle conductor and Optical Ground Wire (OPGW). The small business set-aside Invitation for Bid will be issued on or after May 25, 2020.
The existing line is predominantly of wood pole, H-frame construction with 556.5 kcmil ACSR conductor. The new line shall consist of predominantly H-frame construction utilizing galvanized steel structures. The new phase conductor shall be 1192.5 kcmil, Grackle conductor. New OPGW will be installed end to end in addition to the transfer of existing OPGW which will be located in the structure position opposite of the new OPGW cable.
