There are three hydraulically operated gates located in the Intake Tower at Ball Mountain Lake Dam located in Jamaica, VT. Areas of the existing hydraulic piping, original to the dam construction, are showing signs of moderate to heavy surface corrosion and paint wear. The current hydraulic fluid in use is deemed unacceptable to be discharged into the outlet works per the EPA standards.
Perimeter exterior construction will be visually appealing and incorporate similar construction materials that are consistent with other USACE Visitor Center projects in the Great Lakes Division. Scope consists of site work, storm water management, utility services, building construction and hardscapes. Scope includes a Lobby/Visitor Center, office area, network area, space, restroom and service spaces.
The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000-$500,000.The dam at North Hartland Lake in Hartland is located on the Ottauquechee River, 1.5 miles above the confluence of the Ottauquechee and Connecticut Rivers. The project provides flood protection to downstream communities on the Connecticut River.
The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with County of Calaveras for Law Enforcement Services at New Melones Lake in Calaveras County, California; a firm-fixed price contract that includes a base year and four (4) option years, under the authority of FAR 13.501. A sole source justification has been prepared in support of this acquisition.
