The project will include site preparation, placement of the liner systems, placement of the soil cover systems, construction of the stormwater management structures, erosion control structures, grading, seeding and sodding, landfill gas collection and control system expansion and all incidentals necessary to complete the work as specified. The project also includes repairs to the existing landfill closure of the North Property Landfill.
The County currently has one full time landfill maintenance technician who works closely with the engineering support consultant and performs many of the routine onsite monitoring activities with support from the consultant; including: landfill gas system monitoring and balancing, SWPPP inspections, Landfill cap inspections, leachate collections system operation and maintenance, water table monitoring, equipment and facility maintenance, etc.
These components include but are not limited to landfill gas piping, sub-drain/lysimeter/leachate collection and removal system, earthworks, geomembrane, geotextile, drainage geo-composite, geosynthetic clay liner, and protective soils cover. and all work necessary to render the facility complete and operational.
This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the District of Squamish (the “District”) to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for Landfill Gas System Expansion Phase 2 - Supply & Installation , as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
