Bid Title:Bent Tree Drive Landscape Design Services Category:Requests For Bids and ProposalsStatus:Open Description: The City of Geneva invites contractors to submit a statement of qualifications from firms to provide landscape architecture and design to refresh an existing landscape buffer between commercial properties on the west side of Bent Tree Drive and residential properties on the east side of the street.
Scope of work in included in these construction documents includes but is not necessarily limited to Removal of turf and construction of two outdoor classrooms with landscape buffer and pathways between classrooms. Classroom 1 (The Grove”) and Classroom 2 (The Theater”) with steel structured covered canopies to provide shade. Upgraded site lighting, irrigation, and power.
Summary: The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials and incidentals necessary to furnish and install landscape buffer plantings near the Airport Drive and Williamsburg Road intersection as shown on the plans. The buffer is designed to screen the off-site storage facility located along the north and west property lines. This will include but is not limited to all plantings, hydration mats, mulch, and work.
Design should include secured access to the site and an enhanced landscape buffer from the vacant parking lot with line of sight to the LPAC maintained. Joint ventures for the planning, design, construction and operation of the site will be accepted as part of this RFP. The City desires to own those containers designated "for City Ownership", while lease to own or similar structures will be considered for the remaining container units.
A specific section may contain coir logs, riprap, aquatic plugs, and a 15-foot-wide native landscape buffer consisting of a variety of forbs, grasses, shrubs, and trees. See plans for details. Work on the project shall commence within ten days after issuing the Notice to Proceed, and be complete by June 15, 2023. Completion is defined as being constructed, and the site fully restored.
