302nd Maintenance Group (302 MXG) requires a compact, easily transportable laser marking system for use in multiple locations within the Group. The laser marking system will be used to mark or engrave tools and equipment. The laser marking system offers improved legibility on smaller marking areas and improves tool inventory and control.
Delivery of one (1) Laser Marking System as outlined in the attached Product Description Document. Contractors should review the document entitled "Laser Marking System Combo" for instructions to offerors.
The proposed contract action, a commercial item purchase in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, is for one (1) Laser Wire Marking System with installation and training.
In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.The Laser Marking System listed has been identified as meeting the minimum needs of the government.The minimum requirements for Laser Marking System (or Equal) are;1) Provide capability to etch and engrave tools that are made of harder metals2) Enable Aircraft specific tools that have a Rockwell Hardness Rating of over 503)
