Food waste is anaerobically digested at Greater Lawrence Sanitary District (GLSD) in North Andover, MA. The Solid Waste division at Cambridge DPW consists of three parts: Rubbish, Recycling and Street Cleaning. For the sake of this project, the Recycling Division will be the primary focus. The Recycling Division has seven full-time employees (director, three program managers, two inspectors, and one Operations Assistant).
