Sources SoughtPlease reference FA4830-18-Q-S012The government wants to identify sources that can perform/are interested in performing Lead Dust and Lead Paint Disposal Services. A draft statement of work is attached. We plan to establish a firm-fixed price contract to provide these non-personal services for an anticipated period of 13 August 2018 - 22 August 2018 at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia.

REASON AUTHORITY IS CITED: IMMEDIATE LEAD DUST CLEANING AND ENCAPSULATION OF LEAD PAINT FOR THE SUPERINDENTENT'S QUARTERS AT USCG ACADEMY- NEW LONDON, CT. DUE TO THE EPA STANARDS FOR ADAQUATE LIVING CONDITIONS. THE HOME WAS NOT WITHIN SAFE LIVING CONDITIONS FOR INBOUND RESIDENT AND FAMILY AND STAFF WHO ATTEND TO THE ADMIRAL.

The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GOGA), has a requirement for test and clean residual lead dust following construction in the East Wing of Park Headquarters, Building 201. The work consists of HEPA vacuuming and wet wiping areas that have been exposed to dust containing lead, and possibly other metals or contaminants present in building finishes, following an extensive seismic improvement project.

Thecleaning of the residual dust containing lead, and possibly other metals or contaminants on thebuilding, furniture, and equipment surfaces is by separate contract.

 Over decades the Government Publishing Office Hot Metal Work Room (C-324) created lead typeset for use in stamping book binding titling. Poor housekeeping practices have resulted in lead particulates being distributed throughout the room and near the openings of the room where recent dust samples tested as high as 10% lead.  Current typeset operations have been modified with equipment that does not use lead.
