ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY DECISION LEASE AMENDMENT ADL 108979 HAINES HUTS In accordance with AS 38.05.035, the Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW) has issued a preliminary decision to amend a 10-year public and charitable lease to Haines Huts (“Applicant”) for 2.6 acres of state-owned land within the Haines State Forest, along the southern flank of Mt. Tukgahgo, Haines, Alaska.

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Southeast Regional Land Office (SERO) has issued a final decision for a 10-year public and charitable lease to Haines Huts for the construction, operation, and maintenance of cabin and outhouse facilities. The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to lease Lot 9, Block 1, consisting of approximately 15,000 square feet (ADA-50793), at Haines Airport for 12 years.  Applicant:  Kalinin Partners LLC (operating as Alaska Seaplanes).  Authorized uses:  Aviation .  Annual rent:  $1,305. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., July 13, 2017, after which the Department will determine whether or not to execute the lease. 

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to lease Lot 7A, Block 1, consisting of approximately 15,000 square feet (ADA-50783), at Haines Airport for a period of approximately 15 years.  Applicant:  Frank White.  Authorized uses:  Construction and maintenance of a hangar for aircraft storage.  Annual rent:  $1,560.

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to lease Lot 1, Block 1, consisting of approximately 17,762 square feet (ADA-50778), at Haines Airport for a period of approximately 31 years.  Applicant: William Clayton Jones.  Authorized uses:  Construction and maintenance of a hangar for aircraft storage.  Annual rent:  $1,847.25.
