Decision of No Substantial New Information 2021 Alaska Peninsula and Cook Inlet Areawide Lease Sales The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (DO&G), issued a Call for New Information (CFNI) on September 23, 2020, regarding the 2021 Alaska Peninsula and Cook Inlet Areawide Lease Sales.
Based on the information received, DO&G will either issue a supplement to the finding or a decision of no substantial new information for the lease sale (AS 38.05.035(e)(6)(F)).The most recent Cook Inlet Areawide final best interest finding was issued in 2018 and a supplement was issued in 2019.
The DO&G director determined, and the DNR commissioner concurred that the potential benefits of Alaska Peninsula Areawide oil and gas lease sales, as conditioned, outweigh the possible adverse impacts, and that the sales will best serve the interests of the State of Alaska.
