The proposed left turn lane project is located in Coconino County on US 89 south of the City of Page and within Navajo Nation limits between MP 544.40 and MP 544.89. The work consists of widening the east side of US 89 to allow for a northbound left-turn lane into the Horseshoe Bend Turnout. The work includes new pavement for widening, placing chip seal and fog coat on new pavement and existing pavement, signing, striping and other related work.

This is a locally managed, federally funded project, which includes construction of an additional westbound left turn lane at the intersection of Lamar Alexander Parkway. A continuous center turn lane will be converted to an additional westbound through lane alongside West Broadway Avenue. Construction will also include a new streetscaped sidewalk and other pedestrian enhancements near Maryville High School .
