Part of the requirement is the need for compatibility with existing Leica software and equipment that is currently used by Program. This Stellaris 8 microscope will be involved in several COVID-19 research projects that includes analyzing various types of cells infected with COVID-19 in potentially hazardous (e.g., BSL3) conditions.
All required parts and supplies for the Leica Stellaris 8 Confocal Microscope, must be purchased from Leica Microsystems, Inc. Replacement parts or accessories must be compatible with the existing Leica Microsystems, Inc., Stellaris 8 Confocal Microscope. Compatibility with this equipment is required to maintain the validity of the warranty agreement and Leica Microsystems, Inc. is the only source.
