The Work will be performed within the City of Long Beach Harbor District. However, if the need arises, the City reserves the right to require the Contractor to work at any location or facility under the jurisdiction of the City. Prime Contractors eligible to bid on this project have been prequalified. Bids will only be accepted from the prequalified Prime Contractors listed in NIB-12.

This project consists of a 2-mile, 24-inch transmission force main which begins at the South Gate Master Pump Station, follows Hyde Park Street to Brookhaven Drive, onto Sea View Street crossing Beneva Road and then north to Bahia Vista Street and continuing east to the McIntosh Road and Bahia Vista Street intersection. The force main is planned to be constructed in the County’s right-of- way and under the south road lane of Bahia Vista Street. Roadway resurfacing will be integrated with the project to ensure safety to the traveling public and coordinated roadways. The intersection of Midnight Pass Road (SR758) at Beach Road (CR 789) on Siesta Key is programmed for improvements. A public input survey in 2020 concluded that a modern roundabout at this intersection will offer improved safety and move the traffic more efficiently compared to an improved signalized intersection.
