Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking additional industry input on the achievability of Coast Guard requirements for the third generation Long Range Interceptor Cutter Boat (CB-LRI III).  Responses to this request will be used to refine the requirements for the CB-LRI III, and influence the specification.  The CB-LRI III will be a standard configuration boat deployed from the National Security Cutter via a stern notch launch and recovery system.

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) awarded a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ) to MetalCraft Marine US, Inc. on 26 May 2023, for the Cutter Boat-Long Range Interceptor 3rd Generation (CB-LRI III).

B) Provide new HDPE module drive-on floating dock assembly to accommodate the 35-foot Long Range Interceptor (LRI) boats at Base Alameda. Fabricate, install and test to assure full operational capability at Taney Pier. C) Install required electrical components and circuitry at Taney Pier to support LRI floating dock operations.

The system is designed to operate two (2) cranes in tandem to lift the USCG Long Range Interceptor-II (LRI-II) weighing in excess of 19,000-lbs. The proposed contract will be awarded to the following Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM):Appleton Marine, Inc.3030 E.
