Remove the existing water source heat pump condenser loop air separator, pot feeder, pumps, closed cell tower and associated control devices in their entirety. 2. Provide new medium efficiency water source heat pumps to replace all removed units. All new heat pumps shall include control valve, automatic balancing valves, and y-strainers. Provide ductwork transitions as required.

The scope of this project is to replace 30 year old chillers and cooling towers and underground chilled water/hot water loop piping, multiple air handlers, and updating HVAC controls in two sections of the building in an occupied and operational facility.
The Center’s building does not have cooling towers; instead, river water from the Potomac River is pumped into the building and used in the condenser loop of the air conditioning centrifugal chillers The contractor shall be responsible for system maintenance on a monthly, quarterly and selective infrequent service basis to include equipment testing, system evaluation, shut-down/start-up services, condenser tube cleaning, and certification reporting
All existing boilers, water source condenser loop piping, air source heat pump rooftop units, ductwork, diffusers, registers, grilles, supply fans, exhaust fans, and electric heaters shall remain. 9. Provide one new water source heat pump dedicated outdoor air unit with energy recovery wheel and associated supply and exhaust ductwork. The unit shall be located on the low roof and ducted into the building to serve all floors.
