BAE-NSR will be tasked to replace ventilation ducting for Main Machinery Room One (MMR 1). During moisture separator installation, the contractor discovered severe corrosion to MMR 1 ventilation systems to the point that sections of the ducting had fallen down the trunk. The skin of the ship and structural supports to the intake air are exposed to the outside environment.

The work shall include, but is not limited to, replacement of all mechanical and electrical components inside the elevator machinery room and installation of a new HVAC unit inside the elevator machinery room.
