The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Region Protected Resources Division (PRD) has a need for veterinary services in support of the Alaska Marine Mammal Stranding Response Network. The Government anticipates awarding a hybrid Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Time-and Materials (T&M) purchase order as a result of this Request for Quotation (RFQ).
Services are required to maintain continuous data collection, monitoring and tracking in order to better understand the species (Sea Turtles) movements and habitat use, and strandings as they occur. Sea turtles are State and federally protected species under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Marine mammals are also federally protected via the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA).
