The CME Program staff in the Office of Clinical Research Training and Medical Education (OCRTME) work closely with continuing education Activity Directors and their staffs in all 27 NIH Institutes and Centers and the NIH Continuing Medical Education Committee (CMEC), which is composed of individuals representing a wide range of medical and scientific disciplines.
2013 Wisconsin Act 20 authorized the Department of Health Services (DHS) to establish grants to support development of new graduate medical education (GME) programs. This document is provided to hospitals and sponsoring institutions considering establishing such programs with information to help prepare and submit applications for funding. The effective date of agreements awarded under this funding opportunity will be July 1, 2021.

The UNC School of Medicine (SOM) new Medical Education Building (MEB) will replace Berryhill Hall which was built in 1970 and is past its prime not only in age but also in function. The new facility will be used by the SOM for instruction purposes and consist of Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology labs, classrooms and auditoriums. The MEB six story facility is currently planned to be built in two phases.
