These functions include, but are not limited to, authorizing payments to providers of Part A and Part B services and authorizing payments to physicians and suppliers furnishing Part B medical services. Currently, the Medicare claims processing contractors include Part A and B MACs and Part B Durable Medical Equipment (DME)/Durable Medical Equipment MACs (DME MACs). Currently there are 12 A/B MACs and 4 DME MACs.
The contractor shall provide preventive and repair services, expertise, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and labor necessary to maintain all MHE referenced in the provided attachment. The repairs will be conducted on site when approved and scheduled by the Government.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to award a contract for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (hereinafter referred to as “the contractor”) to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the Medicare Program (also known as the Medicare Fee-For-Service or FFS) for Jurisdiction C.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to award a contract for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (hereinafter referred to as “the contractor”) to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the Medicare Program (also known as the Medicare Fee-for-Service or FSS) for Jurisdiction B.
Currently, these Medicare claims processing contractors include Part A and B Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs), Part B Durable Medical Equipment Regional Carriers (DMERCs)/Durable Medical Equipment MACs (DMACs), Part A Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs), and Part B Carriers. Currently there are 12 A/B MACs and 4 DMACs.CMS will utilize two commercial banks meeting our requirements to process Medicare payments.
