It has been determined that American Society for Testing and Materials is the sole provider of Comprehensive Survey of Commercially Available Powder Bed Fusion Metal Additive Manufacturing SystemsNASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Renishaw, Inc., 1001 Wesemann Dr., West Dundee, IL, 60118 for one (1) Open Architecture 3D Metal Additive Manufacturing System.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, this notice does function as a Request for Information (RFI) for offeror's who believe they can meet the Government's requirement (see Section 9 below).

The solicitation will be issued for a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) to ensure the contractor shall provide and install one (1) laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) Additive Manufacturing systems (M2 – Series 5 Direct Metal Laser Melting (DMLM) and associated equipment for US Army at Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC), Redstone Arsenal, AL.
