The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and to solicit and award the proposed purchase order on a brand name basis for Adept Desktop 3-Year Maintenance-Microsoft SQL Version software (see RFQ) under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) by FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.
The City currently has been acquiring Microsoft Software licenses when required for compatibility and compliance. PCs / Laptops when acquired, have been using the OEM license for the life of the equipment. Other software such as Office is acquired and / or updated when required if version compatibility becomes an issue as old workstations are replaced.
The Region intends to award a contract to one firm to call upon from time to time, depending on the Region’s needs, for consulting services related to existing on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft DWBI platform, as well as other Microsoft tools, on an as needed basis.

Microsoft SQL 2012 and Silverlight is coming to an end of life and Microsoft will no longer support these software packages. To maintain security requirements set forth by GSA’s Public Building Services (PBS) Information Technology (IT), servers running these Microsoft packages must be upgraded. The Vancouver Federal Building utilizes WebCTRL Virtual Server currently running on Microsoft SQL 2012.
This includes Microsoft SQL Reporting Services. • Experience and expertise with developing applications and web services in Microsoft .NET version 4 and higher. • Experience with providing ongoing AMS services for Microsoft SharePoint, SQL Server, and .NET applications.
Power Platforms Power BI, Power Platform, Bing Maps PowerApps and Power Automate Any alternate product or technology must provide at least the same capabilities as the current commercially available version of the Microsoft product equivalent identified above. VA does not seek to fragment capabilities in an identified Functional Area.
