Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Pittsburgh District, is conducting market research to determine the business size and capabilities of potential sources for the miter gate hydraulics upgrades as identified below.Description of Requirement:The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a project that involves the upgrade of the miter gate hydraulics systems at Emsworth Locks and Dams, Ohio River, PA.

This requirement is to provide One (1) New Miter Gate Operating Hydraulic Cylinder in accordance with the Specifications. Please see the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation. 

Gate Hydraulic Cylinder rehabilitation at the Peoria Lock and Dam.

The contractor is responsible to cover all labor and materials necessary for rebuilding two hydraulic miter gate cylinders including disassembly, examination, replacement and fabrication of components, reassembly, testing, painting, pickup and delivery.  The hydraulic cylinder is a miter gate operating cylinder used at Winfield Locks and Dam and is to be installed by others. 

The Contractor will be responsible for the fabrication, and delivery of all parts and material.The Pickwick Auxiliary Lock uses hydraulic cylinders to open and close its Miter Gates and Culvert Valves. The scope of work for this project shall consist of fabricating and delivering two new hydraulic cylinders to include one (1) culvert valve hydraulic cylinder, and one (1) miter gate hydraulic cylinder.
