The Navy is conducting market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 to determine if sources exist that are capable of satisfying the Navy’s anticipated program requirement for an Attritable UxV Mother Ship (AUMS). Message to Industry: The AUMS is a potential solution to cost-effectively delivering large numbers of UxVs to forward locations in a contested environment.
The intent of the scenario is to establish a general understanding of the expected roles of submarine rescue equipment and personnel during operations for preparing a staffing plan, employee call-out list, transportation and Mother Ship (MOSHIP)/Vessel of Opportunity (VOOs) database, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that meet the mission requirements of submarine rescue.
