MSI STEM Research and Development Request for White Paper 2201
The MSIPP Consortia Grant Program (MSIPP CGP) improves the Nation’s capacity to enhance national security by: • Growing the number of MSI and TCU students that graduate with STEM degrees • Increasing the number of MSI and TCU students hired into the NSE’s STEM workforce • Building and strengthening research and educational capacities of MSIs and TCUs • Targeting collaborations and increasing interactions between MSIs and TCUs, and DOE/NNSA laboratories
and related STEM activities on the Sub-Program Priority Areas and Research Needs must respond with a Letter of Interest by April 28, 2023.
Under a cooperative agreement, NASA will work directly with MSI STEM Research and Development Consortium to increase its audience’s participation in STTR. Additionally, the program will collaborate with NASA’s Minority University Research and Education Project to offer research planning grants and incentivize partnerships between MSIs and small businesses.
Successful CREST Center proposals will demonstrate a clear vision and integration of STEM research and education and will align with the mission of the Division of Equity for Excellence in STEM (EES) with respect to the development of a diverse STEM workforce.
Department of Education as institutions of higher education enrolling populations with significant percentages of minority students, or that serve certain populations of minority students under various programs created by Congress.To be considered eligible for the MSIPP, an MSI must:1) award bachelor’s degrees in STEM disciplines2) be an accredited postsecondary public or private institution3) be a nonprofit institution4) enroll populations with
information on STEM areas ofinterest to the Office of Environmental Management.
