(vi) Description of requirements for the items to be acquired:  This requirement is for 2000-hour inspections and service on two (2) MTU Detroit Diesel marine diesel engines.

This training is to instruct Iraq Navy (IqN) students on the design, function, and maintenance of the MTU 2000 diesel engine and Blueline System in accordance with OEM instructions. MTU America Inc. is the manufacturer of the MTU America 16V2000M94 main propulsion diesel engine and MTU Blueline electronics system currently installed on the Iraq Navy 35-meter Patrol Boats.

The proposed contract action will provide repairs to Diesel Generator B, re-stablish engine fluids operational conditions on both A & B Diesel Generators, and troubleshoot the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) System. Curtis Engine & Equipment Inc. is the local authorized representative for MTU Inc., the manufacturer. They are the only company with administrative rights to access, troubleshoot, and repair our MTU diesel generators.
