The City is doing an RFP because of the Mercer buyout of VIAS and the fact that they are no longer providing services to municipal clients. When a new consultant/investment advisor is chosen, the plan will require a new custodial arrangement, as well as the ability to pay pension recipients monthly and provide year end 1099R statements. The Police and Fire plans both have DROP participants that will need to be accounted for, as well.
