The HBI program continues to work toward eliminating the persistent and pervasive health inequities in birth outcomes, the HBI provides culturally specific and responsive services through federal funds from the National Healthy Start (HS) program in Maternal, Child and Health Bureau (MCHB) at Healthy Resources Services Administration (HRSA).
The Contractor is expected to contribute to measurable improvements in key population-based national health indicators including maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH), HIV/AIDS, family planning (FP), tuberculosis (TB), malaria, and nutrition. This will occur through increased availability and accessibility of health services; improved health systems for quality services; and increased adoption of healthy behaviors.
