UToledo has been Congressionally delegated a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Extramural Construction Grant for this project. The UToledo Health Science Campus ("HSC") is home to the College of Medicine and Life Sciences ("COM LS"), College of Nursing, and College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), U.S. Department of Commerce, is contemplating the grant of an exclusive license in the United States of America, its territories, possessions and commonwealths, to NIST's interest in the invention embodied in U.S. 10,153,144, titled “Imaging Spectrometer” (NIST Docket 15-037-CIP) to CAMECA Instruments Inc.

The Utah-MEP applied for a $400k Grant from NIST called the Utah-MEP Supply Chain Optimization and Intelligence Network Expansion Award Application – March 2023. As part of that application and eventual award was the use of CONNEX Utah. The budget included $65k for the first and second year of the award. This SaaS software is used by Manufacturers across Utah, but not on campus by students or faculty.

Specifically, a membership with OASIS would grant NIST access to the most recent development software (i.e. often pre-release software) and assistance if needed, in developing NIST conformance test software, from other consortium members.

The contractor shall grant NIST a non-exclusive, non-transferable, fully paid-up, and irrevocable license with the right to grant sublicenses under all claims of the licensed patent.
