The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia has a requirement for Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) services to extend their stern tube shaft seal design, this will be fulfilled on a Sole Source basis Mide Technology Corp (subsidiary of Hutchinson, Inc.). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) (1) (i).
This modification ensures that sufficient capacity will be available for the issuance of task orders under the non-recurring portion of the Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity to support time sensitive and mission critical projects.
