About the Port of Oakland The Port of Oakland was established in 1927 and oversees the Oakland seaport, Oakland International Airport, Commercial Real Estate, and 20 miles of waterfront.
The Port has exclusive control and management of all Port facilities and properties located in Oakland, CA (including, but not limited to, marine terminals, a railway intermodal terminal, and container storage areas; the Oakland International Airport; and office, retail, and other developed property and undeveloped land), and no other agency or department of the City of Oakland may issue Purchase Orders with respect to these facilities and properties
