The purpose of this procurement is to provide Object Management Group Inc., annual membership renewal for a base period and three option years.
The Department of Navy (DoN) needs membership in international standards bodies developing and maintaining computer industry specifications relevant to model-based design and engineering approaches in order to appropriately design, develop, acquire, and sustain DoN assets.The Office of Naval Research intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Object Managment Group (CAGE: 016S6).
Object Management Group (OMG) Membership
NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to OBJECT MANAGEMENT GROUP under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has been determined that OBJECT MANAGEMENT GROUP is the sole provider of the OMG MEMBERSHIP. NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).
Justification:The Object Management Group (OMG) is an international, open membership, not-for-profit computer industry consortium that develops enterprise integration standards for a wide range of technologies, and industries, including standards for health care use in VHA.
Many groups purport to perform message transformation. MDIX wants to solve message transformation. To create tools for anyone desiring real, machine computable, interoperability capacity. MDIX began with the MDMI software standard established by the Object Management Group and continues to add expertise and refinement to provide the best product: user ease; comprehensive capacity; and scalable access.
