Funding for this service has been obtained, through a competitive grant, from the National Geological and Geophysical Data Preservation Program. USGS does not have the capabilities to curate the samples in this active manner.B.
This lease is intended to be a temporary, interim emergency lease for USGS, who was displaced from their offices by the Kilauea lava and earthquakes. The Small Lease form was appropriate for this procurement.
