The City’s Public Works and Engineering Services Department maintains approximately 93 miles of public right-of-way as well as five two-lane bridges in a semi-rural community with 31 miles of creeks. The City of Orinda plans to select up to five firms to provide on-call Civil Engineering services through June 30, 2026, with the ability for the City Manager to extend the contract for one additional year.
Background: The City is requesting qualifications from qualified consultants to provide Civil Engineering Water and Wastewater design services. Currently the City is not adequately staffed to perform all Capital Improvement Plan work. The City is interested in generating a list of qualified consultants specializing in this type of work to draw from as needed.
This scope of work provides for consultant engineering design, project management assistance, and construction management services on an "as needed" basis. All work shall be performed to City standards, or other standards approved by the City Engineer.Interested firms shall indicate which scope(s) of work they are proposing for.
