This goal encompasses public art in ensuring those who have been historically underrepresented are represented in the development and commissioning of public art. It is with this intent that the City of Evanston Arts Council intends to install an outdoor public art that highlights its deep roots in the Black community and which honors the experience of Black Evanstonians.
