In addition, management efforts have been made to treat invasive species and regulate water levels at the Rt. 7 outlet culvert crossing. As a result of these ongoing efforts, several scientific papers have been published, specifically, on the incursion of invasive species and the influence of road-salt runoff into the bog.

A riprap basin is added to the culvert outlet to calm high velocity flows as a countermeasure to control scouring of the stream bed.

The general scope of the works involves, but is not limited to, the following: • Removal of the existing 750mm wood stave storm culvert. • Installation of a new 525mm PVC storm culvert c/w new manhole. • Regrading creek bed at culvert outlet to match new culvert alignment • Regrading and paving of depressed area in the road adjacent to culvert. • Removal and replacement of concrete encased sanitary pipe.
