Residential Tenancy Agreement- Kitimat Project Description :Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (VCH) intends to overhaul Chiller 3 and Cooling Tower 3 (the Project) for Vancouver General Hospital (VGH). The value of these contracts is anticipated to be $550,000.00 to $750,000.00 plus tax. VCH has chosen not to complete a public tendering process for the Project but negotiate the contemplated work and contracting for the following reasons:
This scope of work is to provide a mechanical overhaul of a chiller. The chiller is past its recommended timeframe for a mechanical overhaul. There is no redundant cooling system. The HVAC is critical maintaining health, safety, and comfort. The chiller is a 400 ton centrifugal McQuay model WDC087-BCCBM, S/N STNU031200110, utilizing R-134a. It was installed in 2005.
There will not be anything installed in the near future. 6.It was mentioned during the site visit a cooling tower fill replacement project was planned during performance period that runs off another chiller and both systems will not be able to be done at same time. Does one project take priority, or will basis be on who schedules work first? Work will have to be coordinated. The Cooling Tower Fill replacement is supposed to take about two weeks.
In addition, cooling tower maintenance, eddy current testing, and chiller overhaul services may be performed on an as needed basis.
