The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Puget Sound Naval Shipyard intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract for a HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER In accordance with (IAW) the item description information and specifications outlined in the attached solicitation. This procurement will be acquired IAW with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
(xv) The following notes apply to this announcement: TheGovernment is contemplating a Commercial, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract type for this requirement under the FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). In accordance with FAR 32.003, contract financing cannot not be provided for this acquisition.
United CNC Machining / A Paravis Company has been qualified and has proven that they can meet the extremely tight tolerances required. Using United CNC Machining will result in a significant time saving as the mean time to repair of the propellers will be decreased due to parts being in tolerance as well as an increase of Full Mission Capable (FMC) hovercrafts.
