Navy and Foreign Military Sales Boats and Craft Program Office (PMS 300), to conduct market research in support of preliminary planning for the acquisition of the Auxiliary Personnel Lighter Small (APL(S)). These craft are currently in use by U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Pacific Fleet Command. Design and construction of one (1) APL(S) craft is anticipated to be awarded initially, with options for two (2) additional APL(S) craft.

This amendement includes the additional support for Auxiliary Personnel Lighter (APL) – Small Barges.This is an amended sources sought announcement in anticipation of LCS and APL – Small Barges procurement. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is conducting market research to determine industry capability and interest in the Planning Yard Support Contract for LCS Class and Small Barge Ships.

This caging is provided in one cage system of 3 cages, as opposed to our current 6 cage system, which will be much more maneuverable, more quiet and lighter for all research personnel. The system has built in rest benches, plastic waste trays and two bottle holders. Our current system has stainless steel waste trays that easily warp and are unwieldy to maneuver.
