The Federal Service Code is J047 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Pipe, Tubing, & Hoses). Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is seeking to hire the services of Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning contractors to upgrade the pipes in the 4th MRI room of the Richmond VA Medical Center.
Work is generally described, but is not limited to the following: The project consists of but is not limited to, excavation and removal of (2) existing pipes located on Ischer Road in Federalsburg, Maryland. See the attached maps for GIS locations.
The protective coating on each exposed pipe and its support truss is showing signs of deterioration, as is a support column at Site No. 38. In addition, embankment material has sloughed against the support truss at Site No. 38. Left unchecked, loss of protective coating can lead to deterioration of the pipe wall and failure of the pipeline, compromising Waterworks’ ability to deliver finished water to its customers.
