The associated NAICS code is 541990.USCG Sector Anchorage has a requirement to purchase:Contractor is to provide assistance in the planning and vessel response strategies in the use of an Oil Spill Response Vessel (OSRV) or Vessel of Opportunity (VOO) to the U.S.
Coast Guard (USCG) Office of Commercial Vessel Compliance, Port State Control Division (CG-CVC-2). The required services are necessary to ensure full implementation of the foreign vessel Port State Control (PSC), Quality Shipping in the Twenty First Century (QUALSHIP 21)/E-Zero, and Large Fleet programs.
If the charter vessel is not providing a work boat for optional science use, then there must be sufficient desk space for 2 research work boats, cradles, and additional gear.
The method for achieving this goal will be based on attracting potential bidders, with supply boat construction/conversion experience, to become primary contractors for overall project and delivery of a turnkey, completed vessel to government specifications. The contractor shall build new or provide a suitable existing vessel which meets the general principal characteristics and performance requirements in Attachment 1.
