The existing building and land, which is owned by the City, previously served as the City’s Senior Center and is now unoccupied. The property consists of a 24,804 square foot site currently zoned Community Facility with a vacant 4,588 square foot CBS building. E-Bidding No
Project Scope The site previously served various equestrian uses. The Town of Darien is proposing to use the existing lawn for both active and passive play. A half-mile accessible boundless path is proposed around the property as a walking, jogging or rolling trail. Two separate parking areas are proposed that consist of porous asphalt drive aisles and gravel parking spaces.
THEY HAVE PREVIOUSLY SERVED NOAA AS THE PRINCIPAL DESIGN ARCHITECT/CONSULTANT DURING EVALUATION AND TESTING OF TWO PROTOTYPE INSTRUMENTS THAT WILL BE DEPLOYED DURING THE 2018 PROJECT IN THE GULF OF ALASKA. IN PARTICULAR, THE LRSSS IS AN EXTREMELY COMPLEX PURPOSE-BUILT SONAR SYSTEM THAT INTEGRATES MULTIPLE ACOUSTIC SOURCES AND SOPHISTICATED NAVIGATION SYSTEMS FOR FISH-HABITAT MAPPING.
Flack, McRaven and Stephens is familiar with the University's policies and procedures, as they have previously served as legal counsel. They are currently representing the University on a few legal matters. The position of General Counsel for WIU is posted and will be filled as soon as possible. The cost is reasonable and comparable to other local attorneys.
