The auxiliary lock is 600 ft by 110 ft with a set of miter gates at the upstream and downstream ends.Project Scope DescriptionThe work will consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, operators, supervision, supplies and materials, and incidentals necessary to perform the Melvin Price Locks & Dam Direct Acting Cylinder Installation, Lock Wall Grating Replacement, and Handrail Anchorage Connection Rehabilitation Project.
The Contractor is to furnish all labor, equipment, freight, materials, supplies and incidentals to inspect, rehabilitate/repair and/or remove and reinstall 9 Model 900 A gear boxes currently in use and 2 spare Model 900 A at Melvin Price Locks and Dam. The contractor shall follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all work associated with rehabilitation/repairs on gear boxes.
Specific maintenance tasks performed shall be IAW the procedures outlined by the respective HVAC manufacturer.Locations: Melvin Price Lock and Dam is located in Madison County at #1 Lock and Dam Way, East Alton, IL on the Mississippi River, approximately 1.5 miles southeast of the Clark Bridge. Locks 27 is located at 3219 W. 20th St., Granite City, IL 62040.
