Propane tanks are segregated in a separate area at the sites and after decommissioning are added to the other metal items for recycling. In 2016, approximately 3,618 propane tanks were received at the Sechelt Landfill and 1,221 propane tanks were received at the Pender Harbour Transfer Station. A breakdown of propane tanks by size and site is provided in Appendix 1.
