The prototype project will also incorporate lessons learned from flight tests, with secondary goals of reducing unit costs, and removing obsolete parts in an effort to increase the prototypes’ military utility.
Generally, the work to be accomplished includes develop and build 3 prototypes each as needed for the required components, and build 6 complete Fuel Vent Valve prototype assemblies for qualification testing. This effort will be used to qualify sources of supply for all components and the assembly. Technical data provided under this effort will be marked in accordance with DFARS 252.227.7013(f).
