Often exhibited beyond museum walls in public spaces, these projects feature high levels of thought leadership, artistic production, and public engagement. Individual artists or producing organizations seeking production funding must have a confirmed exhibition venue or presenting partner.
This Request for Qualifications public art opportunity is open to all forms of public art that are appropriate for the Southern Arizona climate. Public artworks for this project may include but are not limited to sculptures, design enhancements to the overpass, placemaking enhancements at overpass landing area e.g., shade structures, seating, bike racks, and other integrated aesthetic elements.
