to commercialize this new radiation spectroscopy technique.
Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), Biophysical Spectroscopy Section of the Radiation Biology Branch (RBB) requires scientific input on programming and data capture/acquisition for use on Fourier Transformation (FT)-EPRI and MRI equipment.
THE DEVELOPMENT OF THESE SPECTROSCOPY GRADE MERCURY HALIDE-BASED RADIATION DETECTORS ARE ESPECIALLY RELEVANT TO FUTURE NASA MISSIONS TO ANY SOLID BODY IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM, INCLUDING THE MOON, TERRESTRIAL PLANETS, ASTEROIDS, COMETS, AND THE MOONS OF THE OTHER PLANETS. OUR GOAL IS TO DELIVER A BREAKTHROUGH IN DETECTOR TECHNOLOGY THAT CAN LEAD TO SPECTROMETERS THAT ARE CAPABLE OF PERFORMING BOTH GAMMA AND NEUTRON SPECTROSCOPY.
The Contractor shall also provide graphics user interfaces to simplify the software applications and to provide trouble shooting guidance by phone, email, help in the analysis and to support statistical evaluation of the results. The Biophysical Spectroscopy Section of the Radiation Biology Branch (RBB) is involved in developing methods to profile tumors on a physiological basis so that it will allow profiling the tumor microenvironment to choose appropriate
The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is FAR 13.106-1(b) by the authority of FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NIST Radiation Physics Division (RPD) maintain an active research programs in terahertz spectroscopy, neutron physics, radiation dosimetry, and radionuclide metrology.
