The University uses course evaluations during annual faculty reviews to make decisions on salary increases, promotions and tenure.

The possibility of replacing MSUs current technology and instrument with a contemporary solution that is consistent with best practices in student ratings of teaching was endorsed by MSU faculty governance and executive leadership during the 2020-2021 academic year.
