Presumably, significant medical advances have the potential to impact both a reduction in baseline cancer rates as well as an increase in the survivability of the population. A reduction in baseline rates alone will lower lifetime risk, while an increase in survival will result in larger lifetime risk. Both must be considered in the current NASA risk modeling approach.
Past projects must include achievement of energy efficiency designed to exceed Energy Use Intensity (EUI) targets in ASHRAE 90.1, plus at least 30% energy consumption reduction from baseline, where life-cycle is cost-effective. Past building projects must include achievement of sustainable third party certification that achieved preferably all the credits associated with the Environmental Product Declaration.
measures compiled for each of the buildings and compared to the current baseline performance, to achieve 50% reduction in GHG emissions within 10 years, and 80% reduction in GHG emissions within 20 years.
The system shall be effective in reduction of microbial threats such as bacteria, viruses and mold. Effective will be defined as more than 25% reduction in contaminants from the baseline study for air and 45% reduction for surfaces. The system shall be effective in reduction of cross and recontamination of affected and non-affected areas.
The overall purpose of this study is to gather baseline data and to determine the effectiveness of waste reduction programming by monitoring how attitudes, knowledge and behaviours evolve over time.
Proposed projects must achieve a 25% reduction in emissions without increasing operating costs beyond baseline operations of an entire facility.
