The City of Apopka (City) owns several water treatment plants including the Plymouth Regional Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The Plymouth Regional WTP currently has a permitted capacity 1.728 MGD. There are 4 water production wells at the facility. Three wells withdraw water from the Upper Florida aquifer (UFA) which includes Wells No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3.
A non-mandatory site visit will follow immediately after the pre-bid meeting at both project sites, 3851 City Gate Drive, Naples, FL 34117, South County Water Regional Treatment Plant and 8005 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, FL 34120, North Collier Regional Water Treatment Plant for this solicitation.
Summary: Expansion of the existing 4.0 MGD water treatment plant to 6.33 MGD capacity including improvements to the raw water intake, chemical feed and mixing systems, sedimentation and sludge collection systems, gravity filters, finished water pumping system, solids handling basins, and electrical and control systems; and construction of new solids handling and sludge dewatering facilities.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at the Regional Water Treatment Plant, 18 Hager Park Road, Westminster, MA 01473. Attendance is strongly encouraged. Bidders shall examine all information and materials contained in and with this solicitation.
